What We Believe
TEN UNCHANGING CORE BELIEFS
A High View of God
A reverent and scriptural view of God causes us to worship Him in spirit and truth, serve Him faithfully, and obey Him in fear and love.
The Absolute Authority of Scripture
A belief that the Bible is inerrant, infallible, and authoritative shapes our entire life and ministry around God’s Word as the Holy Spirit communicates it to us through personal study and anointed preaching and teaching.
Sound Doctrine and a Pure Gospel
The conviction that sound living flows from sound doctrine roots us in the gospel of repentance from sin and dead works and faith toward God in Jesus Christ, who is both Savior and Lord to all true believers.
Biblical Authority
A commitment to obey the channels of God’s delegated authority in marriage, family, church, and government will honor spiritual and godly leaders who direct us in the ways of the Lord.
Mutual Accountability
A lifestyle of living that is based on the commands of Scripture enables us to live for one another in such a way that we bring glory to Christ, fulfill our responsibilities to each another, and enrich the life of the church.
Holiness of Lifestyle
God’s call for believers to be separate from the world demands that we live a holy life, thus becoming more and more like Christ and giving testimony to the world of what a true Christian looks like in character and conduct.
Primacy of Prayer
The source of spiritual power in the Christian life is found in Spirit-driven prayer and the responsibility in Scripture is clear that a Christian is to be part of a praying people involved in worship, work, witness, and warfare.
Commitment to Excellence
Believers are called to do all things to the glory of God and to give Him full commitment in service, stewardship, study, and steadfastness of life so that we become living and holy sacrifices acceptable to God in Christ.
Loving Focus on People
God’s people are to place the interests of others before that of their own in order to meet spiritual needs: salvation for the unconverted, sanctification for believers, and support for God’s Church as it grows and matures.
Revival and Reformation
The great need of the 21st Century Church is that God would awaken and empower it with the Holy Spirit whereby He renews the believer, revives and reforms the church, and restores relationships to Himself and between Christians.
